Adventure Dog Training in Anchorage, Alaska
From Recall to Ridgeline
Alaska is meant to be explored with your dog.
At Treeline Pack Co., we train dogs for the real world. We build reliable obedience, clear communication, and off-leash skills so you and your dog can confidently get out into Alaska's trails, mountains, and backcountry together.
Whether you're hiking in Chugach State Park or skijoring come winter, we'll help you build a dog you can take anywhere.

Five private sessions designed to build the obedience every adventure dog needs
Before dogs can safely explore Alaska’s trails, they need structure and clear communication.
Our Foundational Obedience Program builds the skills every adventure dog needs.
This program focuses on:
Marker training and clear communication
Response to leash pressure
Reliable recall
Calm leash walking
Environmental neutrality
Handler engagement and focus
These skills create the structure dogs need before moving into off-leash work and adventure training.
This program is ideal for owners who want solid obedience that translates outside the house and into the real world.
This program comes with a long slip lead and is the basis for all adventure programs
A huge part of adventure dog training is reliable off-leash communication.
Our off-leash training program uses modern e-collar conditioning to create clear communication between dog and handler at a distance.
This training allows dogs to safely explore while maintaining reliable control.
This program focuses on:
Proper e-collar conditioning
Long-distance recall
Off-leash heel and engagement
Emergency stop commands
Trail reliability around wildlife and distractions
The goal is true off-leash freedom, not just in the backyard, but on trails, in the mountains, and in Alaska’s wild spaces.
3 sessions + e-collar included
Once a dog has strong foundations and off-leash reliability, we move into real adventure skills.
Adventure training prepares dogs for the unique challenges of outdoor recreation in Alaska.
This training can include:
Trail etiquette with hikers and other dogs
Long-line and off-leash hiking skills
Backpacking and backcountry trips
Ski-joring and winter trail training
Canicross and running with your dog
Calm behavior at trailheads and campsites
Anything specific to your outdoor lifestyle!
The goal is a dog who can confidently join you on Alaska’s trails, from local hikes to full backcountry adventures.
