Before dogs can safely explore Alaska’s trails, they need structure and clear communication.

Our Foundational Obedience Program builds the skills every adventure dog needs.

This program focuses on:

  • Marker training and clear communication

  • Response to leash pressure

  • Reliable recall

  • Calm leash walking

  • Environmental neutrality

  • Handler engagement and focus

These skills create the structure dogs need before moving into off-leash work and adventure training.

This program is ideal for owners who want solid obedience that translates outside the house and into the real world.

This program comes with a long slip lead and is the basis for all adventure programs

Off-Leash Freedom: E-Collar Training

A huge part of adventure dog training is reliable off-leash communication.

Our off-leash training program uses modern e-collar conditioning to create clear communication between dog and handler at a distance.

This training allows dogs to safely explore while maintaining reliable control.

This program focuses on:

  • Proper e-collar conditioning

  • Long-distance recall

  • Off-leash heel and engagement

  • Emergency stop commands

  • Trail reliability around wildlife and distractions

The goal is true off-leash freedom, not just in the backyard, but on trails, in the mountains, and in Alaska’s wild spaces.

Adventure Training

Once a dog has strong foundations and off-leash reliability, we move into real adventure skills.

Adventure training prepares dogs for the unique challenges of outdoor recreation in Alaska.

This training can include:

  • Trail etiquette with hikers and other dogs

  • Long-line and off-leash hiking skills

  • Backpacking and backcountry trips

  • Ski-joring and winter trail training

  • Canicross and running with your dog

  • Calm behavior at trailheads and campsites
